Piano tuner

Robin visited to assess and correct our Howard spinet piano, which was made by Baldwin in the early 20th Century. He was very knowledgeable, professional and personable, with an evident passion for his work.Before undertaking the tuning he advised us precisely what would need doing, which in our case was a bit more than just a quick turn of the tuning wrench. We had noted to him that it was impossible to play many of the keys pianissimo and he was able to demonstrate that this was a solvable problem, requiring adjustment of the let-off" distance of each key.In just about two hours he successfully raised the pitch and it now sounds wonderful! We look forward to welcoming him back in the New Year to perform subsequent fine tuning (following this tuning having settled) and mechanical regulation.With our instrument having gone nearly twenty years without tuning or being played

John and his helper moved a beautiful, old German concert piano down some pretty tricky stairs into my flat. The service couldn't have been better, the craic was second to none and the whole thing was done quickly and efficiently - guaranteed me a customer for life!
